The new exhibition - “NOT ON SITE: Absolute Threshold and a Type of Site- Specific Drift” will open on 15th MAR. The show is organized by ZhengWen and LinShuchuan.  Artworks include photography, sculpture, device, drawing and others. The aim of this show wants to reflect there is a long distance between contemporary art and our real life.

The curator Zheng Wen says: “there are too many ‘not on site’ in contemporary art”. The meaning of “Not on site” is artists, artworks and audiences lack some background knowledges of contemporary art.

This show also presents a documentary video “never unclenched my fist”by Wang Shuibo. Wang Shuibo was an Oscar winner. The documentary has taken two years,90min. The project of the documentary is just talking about rock. He thinks rock could challenge our secular world.

There is a wide variety of artworks in the exhibition. The sculpture named 300KG per square meter which present a meaning of critical value. The device by Chen Guangfeng which named tick and ding-dong. The device uses photo and sounds present an idea that we need to care about the details sound around us.  The dramatic photography by Dong Wensheng and other artworks will show in this exhibition.

Artist has confused their identity under the impact of globalization. They have to face the variations of the culture and identity. The key point of this exhibition is how to deal with art when the art not based on real life.
